Research Quality Assurance

Building Seed Performance through Science and Care

At the core of our seed production system lies a strong focus on research-driven decision making, ensuring that every production program delivers both high seed quality and reliable productivity under field conditions while minimizing production risks for our client companies.

Agronomic Protocols

Custom Production Protocols

We work closely with our client companies to design and refine agronomic production protocols suited to specific crops, geographies, and seasons. Our approach combines field observations, structured trials, and scientific validation to ensure consistent outcomes.

Research Farm

Dedicated Research Infrastructure

The company owns dedicated farm for seed production research supported by a team of skilled labour force and qualified scientists.

Producibility Trials for New Hybrids

Before taking up large-scale seed production, we conduct producibility trials for new hybrids received from our clients. These trials help us understand how a hybrid performs under local conditions and enable us to standardize key agronomic practices required for successful seed production.

The Trials Focus on

Standardization of sowing time to align crop growth with seasonal conditions

icon

Optimization of spacing and agronomic practices for uniform plant development

icon

Standardization of pollination timing to ensure effective fertilization

icon

Systematic observation of pests and diseases to anticipate and manage field risks

These trials form the foundation for developing reliable, location-specific production protocols before scaling up production with contract farmers.

Flowering Synchrony & Nicking Trials

Successful hybrid seed production depends on precise flowering synchrony between male and female parent lines. Variations in climate and location often lead to differences in flowering time, which can directly impact seed set and quality.

To address this, we conduct nicking trials to determine the optimal staggering of male parent sowing relative to the female. These trials help us establish the right planting schedule to achieve effective synchrony under local conditions, ensuring maximum pollination efficiency and seed yield.

Seed Vigour & Performance Testing

Seed Vigour & Performance Testing

After harvest, all seed lots are evaluated at our central facility through a series of standard and advanced tests:

  • Germination Tests to assess viability and emergence potential
  • Grow Out Tests (GOT) to evaluate genetic expression and field performance
  • Seed Vigour Assessment to ensure strong and uniform crop establishment

These evaluations ensure that only seeds meeting strict performance benchmarks move forward.

Genetic Purity & Plant Health (Biotech Lab)

Our in-house biotechnology facility strengthens quality assurance through:

  • Pathogen Testing to detect seed-borne infections and ensure plant health.
  • Genetic Purity Analysis using molecular markers to confirm true-to-type seed production.

This layer of testing provides an additional level of confidence to our clients, especially for high-value and sensitive seed programs.

Seed Processing & Conditioning

Seed Processing & Conditioning

Each seed lot undergoes a careful and methodical processing workflow to ensure it meets the highest quality standards:

  • Cleaning to remove physical impurities
  • Grading and sorting for uniformity
  • Treatment to enhance seed health and storage life

This process ensures that farmers receive clean, uniform, and high-performance seeds ready for reliable field establishment.
